These boots were recomended from an employee at EMS. She told that the Scarpa (part of Fabiano) wharehouse was closing in Boston, and they were practically giving these boots away. I bought these woithout trying them on & with the help of the guy taking my order. Sized European, I bought them a size larger, wear 2 pairs of socks ALWAYS and I feel like a mountain goat on the trail. I love these boots. Scarpa/Fabiano doesn't get a lot of press, but they are the best things I've used on the trail. They are a lttle heavy, but I don't feel the weight all that much, and not enough to ever complain about them. I'm doing the AT in the spring & I should have picked up 2 pairs for what I paid. I've never gotten a blister, and they're still not entirely broken in. For a woman, I've got a wide hoof, and usually go with men's footwear. I didn't expect to love these so much without ever trying them on. They're definitely a 3 season boot; crampon compatable. I have no idea what they retail for, up to $300 I think. I stole mine for $72.00

Customer Service

I bought them direct through the Boston wharehouse that was to be closing. No returns, exchanges only, and no guarantee they'll have your size. Was rumored that they're focusing on intrn'l distribution, minimal in US.
