Best boots I've ever owned...they got me through the Appalachian Trail and then survived 5 years of "Weekend-Warrior" use. I still have them to this day, 15 years later, just because they are so comfortable. Great buy...anyone know where I can order a new pair? (I think they are discontinued.)

Love the Knife Edge! The Cresta is a great boot, but it does not have a toe rand and mine always looked like hell due to major scuffing, etc. Would highly reccommend the Knife Edge to anyone looking for a great light-mid weight boot. Let's face it, if you are doing heavy packing neither of these boots are really adequate.

Excellent!

Good boot on paper, but killed back of my leg with ragged (knife edge?)edge design and very rough material. Tried thicker socks but couldn''t wear boots more than a few times.Ä

I just bought my Knife edge Hi boots. So far I think they are wonderful. No break in time. Only one hot spot, due to packing. But it has since been fixed.

Customer Service

Great overseas agent!!! Great service.

I have had my Knife Edge for about five years now, and it is finally time to trade them in! They have served me well in terrain varying from the White Mountains to Virgina Appalachia. Very well waterproofed (I re-grease them after every wet trip), no break-in time, never too hot, offer good support, roomy toe box. My one complaint is that they are not great downhill in rocky terrain. New models might be better at this. New ones also have Vibram. If considering this price range, look at the Bean Cresta Hikers. For a few bucks more, you get higher tech.

Customer Service

Can't beat Bean's service. Period.

I bought my knife edge boots 5 years ago, and still love their durability. I've loved the confidence I have when I hike the mountains of Colorado, to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. They've saved my but too many times to remember.

Customer Service

I always loved LL Beans products!!
