New for 2000 is the Wave Tool Adapter. It is designed specifically for our popular Wave multi-tool and works just like the Standard Tool Adapter.

This little item is a worthwhile addition to your Leatherman Wave if you can find it at a bargain price. The tool adaptor fits snugly on your Leatherman Wave and allows you to use standard hex mounted tools. The tool comes with a hard plastic case with a belt clip and it includes 6 bits and room in the case for one more.

I find the tool kit to be a little bulkier than I want to carry on my belt but I do slip it in my briefcase or backpack to supliment the Wave. The smaller Phillips bits are the most useful but if you know you have specific needs you can replase the less useful bits that come with it with ones you can find at any hardware store. (For example I purchased a tiny Hex wrench adaptor that allows me to tighten up some screws on my dayplanner that keep coming loose.)

If you want to carry the tool kit Leatherman offers a small leather or nylon case that you can use that is more secure than the removable clip on the plastic box.

If you can find this item for the right price I'd pick it up but I really dont' think its worth the $30 retail tag you'll find on it most places.

Try EBay and pick it up for half that and its worth the purchase.
