Hands down, this is the best belay/rappel device out there. There are three features that separate this from other a.t.c.'s, and that is 1 it is reversible for different rope feeds. One way provides more friction than the other. 2 It has "fins" to dissapate heat. and 3 it has the smoothest rope feed of any belay device so it won't damage or kink your rope
