Good walking crampons. The small front points do not interfere with a normal gait. two screw adjustment is very secure and fit a good range of boots. Scotish straps are bit of a pain but seem to hold well. Very strong material that just refuses to bend. Some filing and polishing of rough edges will prolong the life your straps and a little paint will prevent rust stains on your other gear.

These are best used with flexible leather boots. They aren't wide enough for most plastics (my experience). They go a great job for general alpine use and are pretty solid even if you don't crank the straps a lot. The metal has held up very well with little corrosion. I use the generic ankle wrap strap arrangement, not the Scottish straps (not a preference, just what I've got). The strap posts make storing them in a crampon bag a real pain. I wish they made the ankle strap longer and the toe strap shorter (keeps flapping free creating a tripping hazard).

Great for leather boots but get step-ins if your boots can use them. Dealing with straps is annoying.
