This harness is a replacement for my old Black Diamond Bod. It's much more comfortable, thought a bit trickier to put on. It's not a wall harness however, as there is no way to drop the leg loops and keep the waist belt on and the climber tied in. Excellent for trad and sport climbing.

Dionysis is very comfy and adjustable. one thing annoying about the harness is the small gear loops - though it is a sport climbing harness; not a big wall.

I have used the Dionysis for work and play. Very comfortable for hanging around in. Excellent harness. For work I use it for hanging cable in arenas and auditoriums. Recreational use involves rock climbing on the cliffs of Lake Superior.

Customer Service

I have not needed to contact Petzl, But I will now because the dealer in my area is no longer in business. ( it was stolen and I need to find another dealer.)

This is a nicely padded harness, in both the adjustable leg loops and the swami belt (I haven't had the chance to use it in a hanging belay, however). The belt needs not be doubled-back, which is a nice hassle-free feature.

Overall, I feel really secure in this harness, except for the elastic straps that hold up the leg loops. This feature I don't understand, because although supposedly adjustable, I have found no way of shortening them. Also, maybe the waist belt is a little wide. Otherwise, this harness should prove to be a very versatile item for all kinds of climbing.
