Black Diamond Shrike Bent Adze Ice Tools

Black Diamond Shrike Bent Adze Ice Tools

DESCRIPTION

Great for any ice or alpine climber, the Shrike's 7075 pierced and drawn aluminum shaft is strong, light and durable. The investment-cast 17-4 steel head represents the perfect solution for the most abused part of the tool.

Might be good for alpine ice, I don''t know about that, but for waterfall ice it sucks. If you want something cheap check out Camp or Stubai. If you want something to clib waterfall ice/mixed get a CM Quark or BD Rage, do NOT buy a Shrike! Rating given is for alpine ice!

A darn nice tool - easily the best value on the market. Great feel in the hand, nice swing weight and you cna use the best pick around with it the BD Cobra pick(a wee bit better than the Stinger was). I vastly prefer them to my Pulsar - but you can get Pulsar's for $100 from Europe.
