After trying out a number of tools, I went for the 50 cm raptor because: 1/ It's not too light thus easier to chop steps especially in ice 2/ It is T Rated 3/ It has a large hole at the top of the head large enough to take a large screwgate biner 4/ It is fairly ergonomic when holding 5/ Top build quality

Mountaineer

i have used my raptor on a number of occasions and have fount it to be ideal for winter mountaineering, light yet strong. the head is easily replaceable and feels good to grip. I have climbed scottish grade 3 with the raptor without struggle.
