I am very impressed with these boots. Their excellent construction and quality materiels are apparent. The fit is good, as long as you make sure the toe box isn't too small. Good fit in the heel and arch area. Stiff, but not so much that striding is a problem. The biggest selling point for me was their arch and ankle support, which I have found very good. I have what is seeming to be a permanent ankle/heel/arch injury to one foot, and these boots really help keep the discomfort to a minimum, especially when packing heavy loads off trail or over a lot of rock and uneven trail surface. A little expensive maybe, but their excellent craftsmenship probably warrants it. A little on the heavy side, but the support makes them seem lighter than they are. I would recommend this boot for aggressive backpackers who do some rough country. I like this boot!
