These are definately a beginner comfort shoe, long on durability due to the rubber. Check out other model for performance - there are many.

This was the first pair of shoes I purchased. I didn't realize how crappy they really are until I bought different shoes. The rubber is NOT sticky at all, and they are terrible for edging and smearing. I wouldn't recommend buying these or any boreal shoe to anyone interested in getting better (at climbing). What a waste of dough! They are however very durable. People say they are good beginner shoes, there are better out there. Durability is there only redeeming quality. DO NOT BUY

I bought them for comfort, they fit best of all the shoes I tried on . Actual performance (for me) is only so so, isn't there better rubber out there ? I'm an outdoor only, recreational climber and they are good enough for me, especialy since I don't like pained toes and feet.

Customer Service

They have held up well so far, no sevice needed.

This is a good 1st climbing shoe. Good enough for a beginner who plans to climb once or twice a week. It hurts my toes in the first place but after a month or so the leather took the shape of my feet. Buy it pretty tight coz it stretchs a lot after a couple of months of serious climbing. The sole is also quite resistant. I bought it two years ago and it just needs to be resole. Like I said, it's good for a beginner. When you get to the point where you want to improve your technique, you might want to buy an other product that sticks better to the wall and is a little more asymetric to help you climb roof.

My goal in buying this shoe was to pay as little as possible for a rock shoe that worked. I've tried out a lot of equipment, and I must say that this one falls into my my, "footwrecker" category. I not only experienced discomfort, but injury due to stiffness and friction inside the shoes. I'm a trad climber, and I don't spend much time in gyms, however that's where these shoes performed the best. Thin socks won't sacrifice sensitivity, but will keep blisters at bay.

They only excel at smearing. Though
they are 2 sizes down from my street
shoe size, they tend to pull off on
heel hooks. The also tend to roll of
edges. Best way to hold an edge in
these shoes is to smear it.

I'd not recommend this shoe to
anyone. Even for the low price I
paid. After six months of climbing
in them, the threads started coming
out of the seams. Soon after the
rand in one of the toe boxes ripped.
Bummer.

I've had these shoes for over a year now and they've done me great. These are the only shoes I've ever worn, so I'm not too well versed in how other shoes perform. But I do know that these do me fine. I've used them on all sorts of climbs, from knobs to face to crack. There are times when I push the limits, just to see how well they stick and I really am suprised. For a hundred dollar shoe, you can't go wrong.

got them as part of a package deal at a local store. I've only had them for a couple of months, and have pretty much only used them in the gym. They've worked out great for me so far. plenty stiff and sticky. I have narrow feet, and had to go down a lot of sizes in order to get a shoe that didn't bunch up around the toe box. They've broken in nicely though. And of course, you can't beat the price.

The shoes i have had now for over a year and still have excruciating pain in my right big toe after extensive use. The shoe is well designed for edging but smearing is more difficult.

Customer Service

The price is right, good shoe for a novice, but it is definitely replacable upon advancement in the sport.
