Excellent pair of shoes for novice. Extremely comfortable all round. Stiff base, laces. Real value for money. However, the front part of the shoe starts to "crocodile" after just half year of climbing

The Shark is an excellent shoe for what you are paying. The rubber is right up there with the "stealth" rubber of 5.10. This is a thick slip last shoe great for beginner to intermediate climbers. Has a wide toe box for us with wide feet. If you like the feel of the Boreal ACE, you may like this shoe. Only draw back, the heel fits a little loose on some people.
