These were my first pair of rock shoes. I am more of a backpacker than climber but I like to climb here and there if top-roped! :) I've had these for about two years now and they are holding up great. I'm about to get them resoled. Feels great right out the box and molded to my feet perfectly. Found them good for smearing, edges and pockets. Great beginners shoe.

The Hueco's are a great all around shoe. They are great for both beginners and experts because of their versatility and durability. They are best at smearing and edging but are also good shoes on overhangs. They won't stretch much at all and perform well. These are all qualities that anyone would want in a shoe, which is why they are a good buy for a beginner or an expert (of course most experts might want a more specialised shoe, but it's always good to have a shoe that can do everything pretty well).

Great all around shoe, alpine, gym, crag. Comfy right out of the box, and resonably durable. Not enough support for handcracks.

I've been a weekend climber for the past 3 years and the huecos were my first pair of shoes. They fit llike a glove and have no painful spots on my feet from wearing. As I beginner shoe they held up great, being shoes can take alot of abuse from beginners, that the shoes weren't necessarily meant to handle (like pine sap on the sole). Also in the time I've had them the soles have held up great and I'm still on my first pair. Value rating varies because you can now find them for around $100 although they are meant to retail around $138. I rated value based on retail.

I have small wide feet and the heuco's were perfect for them. they are very comfortable probably due to the fact that it's lines. did mostly indoor climbing before i gave them to my friend to get a pair of Mythos since i was getting into more crack climbing (Mythos has a higher rubber rand). my friend has also found it very comfortable. the sticky rubber is also very nice.

These are the first pair I have owned (purely on the basis that there were the only pair that would fit - high arches and narrow heals). I originally thought that i had bought them too small but they have stretched almost a size in length and well over a size in width - this stretch can actually be seen where the rand has been dragged down from its original spot, leaving a glue line (about 4mm all round) Despite being tight, I can wear them for 2 hours without taking them off (no blisters or sore spots). They also don't look new, which may or may not be a good thing. They are great at the gym, lots of feel but very stable on the edges too - the rubber is VERY soft (resole city).

These shoes are great. They seem to stick to everything and I pretty much only fall off when I get lazy and do not pay attention. If you are looking for a comfortable shoe that will withstand the harsh outdoors and will do well in the gym look this way. 5.10 all the way.

Real happy with my Hueco's, but then these are the only climbing shoes I have really owned (outside of gym rental). I just started climbing a year and a half ago. The shoe are holding ups well. I go tthem very snug with out any cramping. Thus I was able to off a climb for miles when things went wrong and we could not rap down. Certainly recommended.

I have used these shoes for a couple of months and ive beaten them up pretty badly. After climbing every couple days over the summer they started to look and feel worn out but the still have a pretty good stick. They have very little sole left by the big toe because i climb on a homemade wall everyday for the last month and all i do is edge. I am thinking about getting some new shoes but my huecoshave done me well.

I have recently started climbing and bought this shoe based on others comments on this web site. I have fairly wide feet with high arches and the shoe is very comfortable. It seems to stick very well both indoors and on natural rock. I tried on several brands before buying this shoe and I feel like I made the best decision hands down.
