Excellent shoe - but the toe wore out way too fast. I bought the shoes at the beginning of January and March a hole was already forming on the toe portion of each shoe. Now, I have already worn a hole straight through on the left shoe. I plan on buying another pair though. These are the best shoes that I have most precise shoes that I have ever worn. They are great for bouldering and sport climbing. The Miuras come very close to being as good as the Cobras.

This is an incredible shoe. It has fantastic inside AND outside edging ability, it''s sensitive, it front points well, it''s great on small pockets, and on overhanging terrain. I downsized from my lace up rock shoes and am glad for it. (I wear a 42 Mirage, and a 41 in the Cobra). They were too tight to climb in the first few times I wore them. But after wearing them around the house and then starting to climb in them, they have broken in well. I still slip the heels off after a climb ot two. But that''s the beauty of a slipper. You can. Highly, highly recommended if they suit your foot shape. (My feet are fairly narrow).

Basically what everyone else said..cause they really do rock. These shoes bite in every way possible... 1)make sure to buy smaller because they stretch. 2)made for people with small to medium heels 3)buy them anyway cause they are cheap and perform like no other

I have climbed for roughly a year and these were my first and so far only pair of shoes. I love my vipers(Vipers became cobras with a change of color) The shoe smears and edges very well and is a very precise slipper. However they stretch a lot. I wear a street 7.5 and bought my vipers at a 5.5 and am starting to wish after 6 months that I had gone smaller. I have a very narrow foot and sometimes my heel pops out when heel hooking on roofs. In general I like this shoe and feel its a good overall gym shoe. But I am planning on getting miura's soon for more precise and powerfull climbing.

I bought my first pair apprehensively, but they are the best shoe I have had yet (all subjective of course). They fit my feet well and that's what counts. I tried on the maccasym but they just didn't fit my feet right. Great for gym or vertical to over hung routes. BAD BAD BAD for slab. Did I mention BAD for slab?

I suffer from the sweaty foot syndrom and this tends to destroy shoes quickly. The elastic tore away from the leather at about the same time they needed a resole(sewed 'um up and sent out). I haven't worn the second pair long enough to see if they will suffer the same fate.

If they fit you feet well and your inclined to try a pair of slippers go for it you won't be dissapointed. Fit 'em tight, they stretch.

Ok, I had a cobra on my right foot and a five ten moccasyn on the other and I climbed to compare them. The comfort and the grip (smeering especially) was not close to that of the moccasym. Don't take me wrong, they are a good climbing shoe, but you can have a better deal if you would go with the five ten slippers.

In all the years I have been climbing (three) I have used many different varieties of shoes from a large selection of brands but I have always been partial to La Sportiva. I was in a pinch for new shoes with not much money to spend so I tried out the $99 Cobra as a shoe to hold me over while I searched. Now after spending time in them I do not think I will buy another type of shoe. The fit of the heel is almost custom made for my foot, this is something that I have not been able to find in any other shoe model. The ability the edge on micro footholds is great and it is only made better by the very sticky rubber. The softness of the leather which allows a very tight fit due to the kindness on your toes' knuckles is also great. I am very happy with these shoes and I plan on promptly buying another pair (in case production is halted). Buy these shoes and buy them super tight because they will stretch to your foot.
All of this for $99? Whats the catch?

The Cobras are my first pair of climbing slippers. It has taken about 5 or 6 visits to the gym to fully break them in. I am very happy with their performance and I have no complaints whatsoever. For the price that these shoes are at, you really can't get a better deal. Go with the Cobras and you'll be one happy climber!

The cobra is an overall great shoe especially for a slipper. The sensitivity of the cobras is amzing and the rubber is very sticky, they also have awesome pulling power. I think the cobras perform best on overhanging footsy routes. I also love the toe power and they are very light.
