These are pretty much the only shoes that I could find that fit my feet right. They are great for smearing and toe hooks due to the flexibility. I've had mine for about 8 months and they have stretched a little but not badly so. The rubber sticks to anything (Vibram XSV) but they are due for a resole now. Otherwise, they have held up just fine.

This shoe fits my style. If you run into difficulty where you you need a dyno, this shoe will help you out more than any. Of course your foot needs to fit the shoe...as said before...but that is true with any shoe. The smearing is unbelievable. You can crush a slab +.02-.03 higher with this shoe. As for the rear of the shoe...it is a little wide, but while this is a hinderance, it also gives you leverage on the weak side. The stongest aspect of the shoe is the sensitivity. You can feel the tiniest pebble and adjust accordiningly. If the shoe streches a bit...maybe you should have seen it coming. It isn't the shoe to be blamed...it is the underestimation of your foot.

Customer Service

The customer service is very helpful, but the product is so solid that if you have to call them them you probably did something wrong.

My first pair of climbing shoes. I've had them for over a year and I love 'em. Very comfortable, great sensitivity, sticky sole, and good versitility. Works in the gym as well as outdoors. Solid shoe for beginner and expert alike.

When I first started climbing, like many people, it was in a gym. My first shoes were your basic, cheap, Five-Tens. After a short time, I started spending time around climbers who were far stronger and more skilled than I was. I watched as they moved gracefully, placing their feet carefully on both foot-holds and the wall. I watched as they smeared confidently on some of the smoothest surfaces in the gym. I did my best to immitate their style, yet found myself totally unable to smear in my clunky Five-Tens. Then one of my new friends suggested I get some Mythos. Eager to improve my climbing, I went right out and bought some. I never regretted it. The flexibility and sensitivity of the Mythos make them the best climbing shoes I've ever worn. In the gym, their performance is unequalled. Outdoor, they excell in most sport climbing environs. I now own three pair, each of which has been re-soled at least once. I would recommend them to anyone interested in improving their foot-work, whether climbing in a gym or cranking on killer outdoor sport climbs.

My first climbing shoes. I have been climbing in them for two yeras, they have been resoled twice and they still perform great. They do stretch a lot, so buy them very small, no matter how you small you buy them they will eventually stretch so much you'll wish you had bought them smaller. Good for long multi-pitch not too technical routes.

Great gym shoe for sport climbing. Excellent on real rock for all climbing but jamming those feet in cracks. They are a narrow fit with a soft last so they hurt when twisted in a crack. Also, because of the tight fit they are not comfortable for long routes or long days outside. These are good shoes for people with mid to narrow feet.

I have really enjoyed the shoes since I bought them, although I really haven't had the chance to do much climbing since I bought them. This may sound a little bizarre, but as a testament to their comfort, I will on occasion put them on while watching t.v just to have get that feeling of climbing. The lacing system is great, it allows for easy on an off and also allows for getting an exact fit because the lace is continuous. They are much more comfortable and seem to work better (at least for me) then the other shoes I had tried at the gym.

These were my first pair of real climbing shoes several years ago. Before this I was climbing in a very basic shoe with no sensitivity. My climbing almost immediately improved due to the hightened sensitivity in my feet. I absolutely love these shoes. I don't recommend these shoes for novices as they are quite soft and sloppy footwork will wear them out quickly. I really like the lacing system which allows me to put them on and take them off quickly and they snug very easily to my feet. It has a somewhat narrow last so I think the fit is not for everyone. finally because of the high rand around the toes I find that my feet really bake if I am on a very sunny route forcing me to take off the shoes at each belay. This shoe has been made for many years when other shoes with fancy "features" have come and gone, that to me says a lot.
