With 10 mm ropes becomming the norm out in Colorado and Utah I am pleased to report that the sheath of this Roca rope "WEARS LIKE STEAL" and has a 9 fall rating with low impact forces which came in handy in El Dorado Canyon on reducing my partner/rope guns fear of pulling tiny gear on potential 18+ footers. This Fanatic also becomes even softer to the hand with use. I love Mammut as well but the sheath wore out on the Galaxy after one season.
Ask a Kong dealer if they can get you the seldom listed mono color for only $149 virsus the by-colr shichis a little more.
