Most people consider this to be the defining bouldering video. The footage is amateur but you'll want to go out and crank after watching the video. Hardcore climbers (esp boulderers) will watch this tape over and over.

First things first. This is a video not a film, although the producer would lead you to believe otherwise. I like the video, but it's a bit like watching someone's summer vacation. Having one of the best climbers in the world is what makes this video so good, and having him do sick problems doesn' t hurt. The video is edited well and flows well, but it's like every other video out. I'd like to see something a little more original some day. I like Josh's Free Hueco more simply because I've been there so many times.

I asked Josh one time why he calls his videos films and he replied, "to be pretentious I guess." A good response all-in-all, which indicated to me that at least HE knows he's not a film-maker

Overall I found this video really well done. The climbing was incredible and it was cool to see places and problems that I have also tried myself. One aspect I found disapointing at times was Obe's attitude. There is to many sports today where the athletes are always portrayed as "bad boys" and it gets a little tiring after a while. Otherwise the filming was great and Sharma was incredible.

The best movie I've seen in a long time. Sharma rules in every way. I can watch it over and over.

This film is great. Really fun to watch, sort of a slow start, but it builds with some sick boulder problems, and climaxes with Sharma winning the 98 X-Games, then afterglow with even sicker problems.

It is like watching Sharma and Obe's summer vacation, but it is more than that, I think. You get a chance to get to know them, as well as seeing intense climbing. Better than anything else I've seen.

I've watched this video several times and it's more enjoyable each time. It is about like watching someone's summer vacation. As far as drug fueled climbing fests go you can't be more on point than this video.

the part about Obe and Chris climbing the headwall and seeing mountain goats should be interpreted as follows.

Racks = joints

Carrying = smoking

Seeing mountain goats =
being really high

Obe's antics and his comment about finding "some f---ing chillin'" makes this one a classic
That Obe, he's a nut. He once told a friend of mine to go f--- himself after he beat him in a comp.

Seriously though, watch this video. It's really enjoyable.
