Epic Paddles eXcalibur II length-lock Paddles

DESCRIPTION

The eXcalibur II is our largest blade size. We recommend the eXcalibur II for strong sprint racers, or those who prefer a slow powerful stroke. Use the eXcalibur II when you want maximum power for races 10,000 meters or less.

Paddler

I have been fortunate to be able to try most of the wings that are manufactured around the world. I find that the Excalibur II with its large blade is the smoothest paddle I have used. The weight is balanced, and the swing weight is very light. Entry is swift, with immediate response once the blade is sunk into the water. The large blade gives me the solid stroke and power that I want. The exit is effortless. The longest one day paddle with this paddle was 60 miles. I never once felt that the blade was too large. A paddle I highly reccomend.

Customer Service

Yes, I do work in kayak shop and yes we do sell Epic Paddles. This statement is totally unbiased. Epic paddles is one vendor that is a pleasure to work with. If one of our customers has a problem it is addressed immediately. It is with pride and good craftsmanship that Epic Paddles runs its business.

WERNER WING, no longer in production. This was my mainstay paddle for a couple of years. A good paddle, heavier than an Epic. Has a slower release than Epic.

GUT, a very good paddle, the closest I've found to emulate Epic.

DESCENTE, weight is on the heavy side. I find it to be slow at entry and exit.
