These pants are extremely warm. The 300 requires some pretty cold weather. If you are usually warmer than other people then DON'T BUY THESE. Great though if you find yourself on some summit with colder than expected temps. I had my wife sew in some full length zippers so I could zip them on over boots and crampons...and now I have a vent if it gets too hot. I have used them down to about -5 degrees with thermals and a shell and I was nice and toasty. (I didn't give it a five because I had to have my wife sew in some zipper pockets too....no pockets??)
