Marmot DriClime Vest Unisex Fleece Tops

Marmot DriClime Vest Unisex Fleece Tops

DESCRIPTION

Use this technical, versatile vest as a mid layer or outer layer in varying conditions during high-exertion outdoor activities.. Wind- and water-repellent nylon shell in front prevents convective heat loss, while the DriClime® lining wicks moisture away for quick evaporation. Polartec® Power Stretch® sides and back panel feature a moisture-wicking, low-pile fleece inner surface and a durable, nylon outer surface. DriClime lining moves moisture away from you to the outer layer where it spreads out for quick evaporation. Two handwarmer pockets, plus a zippered chest pocket keep small essentials nearby. DriClime-lined stand-up collar and draft flap backing the full-length zipper keep cold air out.

This vest saved my life! We were hiking out Grand Canyon in the winter. I was dressed in wicking layers topped off with a THF windbreaker (which was supposedly breathable). By the time we reached the half way point and lunch, I was completely soaked and starting to get seriously chilled. I quickly stripped off everything, put on my one dry base layer followed by the wet layers and topped off with the vest. TNF useless windbreaker went into the pack. I was amazed at how quickly I warmed up. The wet layers dried out and I stayed warm for the rest of the hike out. I can't say enough good things about Marmot's DriClime products. I now own several other DriClime products and never hike without my DriClime vest! Oh, I sent my TNF windbreaker back to the manufacturer. Six months and several phone calls later they sent me a new windbreaker which I sold. FYI - Marmot's Evolution long-sleeved, next to skin shell is fantastic!

Hard to imagine it would be better than fleece, but it is. No other base layer moves sweat this fast, and it''s so windproof need a shell jacket. I began using this jacket skiing (underneath a shell) but I loved more without the shell. Then I climbed with it on, and I loved it more than a fleece. Then I started running with it on, and it became a staple for several runs. I''ve even worn this vest in three marathons (with my number pinned to the front). The hype from Marmot is not a lie, it does everything. It wicks, it compresses, it fits great, it cuts the wind, and you never feel wet when you''re wearing it.
