I read the reviews about the main zipper breaking and I noticed that the zipper IS VERY flimsy. Not confident that it will last. I just bought it and now I don't know what to do...

Everything else seems top notch...

Love the Alpha SV! Tres expensive by Australian standards, hovever, worth every cent. It moves with you thanks to the 3D cut, is tough enough the handle scrapes with the snow gums, and didn't Bill Paxton look resplendent wearing one in Vertical Limit.

I purchased an Arc'teryx Alpha SV jacket about a year ago and have used it for winter climbing in scotland and general mountaineering in the Swiss alps. Whilst on a mountain in Wales last weekeend in faily grim weather the main zip broke. Looks like the same problem as Alex from Bradley Stoke experienced. I have replaced the jacket with a Marmot Glenmore Jacket which I have yet to try out. My confidence in Arc'teryx has been shaken. Yout don't expect such a failure after such litte use.

Customer Service

Issue with the Jacket resolved with full refund by Snow and Rock. excellent customer service from Andy.

This jacket is probably the best piece of kit I've ever bought. In the store all the top end jackets look good and adjust well. The Alpha SV is the only one that can be adjusted etc., just as easily in the worst conditions with inner and outer gloves on. I now think of it as part of my insurance !

Customer Service

Expensive, but REAL Quality.

this jacket is so perfectly constructed, i have to say it is a work of art. no excess material to get in the way or flap in the wind while skiing, the hood works with you as it should...etc. the best shell currently made today.

Customer Service

none...i don't anticipate ever needing service

This jacket wastes all other jackets, even other Arc'teryx jackets which still waste all other jackets. There is truely no better jacket out there than this one. It has been lab tested and expedition proven. It's no wonder why Mountain Gear, and other stores consider the Alpha SV to be the best shell jacket available. This jacket is bombproof, just get it.

Customer Service

You shouldn't need any, but if you do they are great
