The finest jacket I've ever owned. Living in the Sierras, it is used daily. With the price so low, no guilt justification needed. PERFECT FOR CLIMBING, MOUNTAINEERING AND EVEN MIXED AND ICE CLIMBING. You won't ever be sorry, unless you buy some other product.

A great jacket. Fit, finish, workmanship, preformance is tops. Selected this shell over ones from Patagonia, Marmont, North Face, Mountain Hardware, Cloudviel, all are outstanding. But Theta LT was my choice, and glade I did. Just a great shell. At well over $400 list a lot of $$, but at $230...wow! Hood fits great, needs a d-ring for skiing lift tickets and gloves.

After using several ArcTeryx backpacks and being very satisfied, I decided to replace my old Mountain Hardware Gore-Tex by this ArcTeryx model. I was very impressed by its construction and by all the detailed they''ve put into it. I''ve used it ine deap power skiing and for wet weather backpacking and it did the job as well as it looked. Overall very satisfied.

Customer Service

Never had to use it.

This jacket is absolutely awesome!! Everything about it is perfect. It hasn''t rained around here lately, and I couldn''t wait to try it out, so I took it into the shower. It''s amazing how the water beads up and rolls right off. I turned the water down as cold as it would go, and I wasn''t even chilled. The hood is the best I''ve tried; you can move your head all around and it will stay where it''s supposed to. The jacket''s freedom of movement is great. I''m not sure what Arc''Teryx means when it says that the jacket has "Dry Cuff Technology." My cuffs seal water out better than most, but they''re still not perfect. My only complaint is that I wish the hood brim could be longer. It''s not quite long enough to cover my glasses in a drizzle. These are minor flaws however, compared to the overall quality of the jacket. If you are thinking of spending a lot of time in the outdoors, this is THE jacket to get. I would have paid full price for it. If you''re looking for something a little lighter, I hear Arc''Teryx is coming out with an ultralight Gore-Tex jacket in the winter. Keep your eye on this company. It is one of the best manufacturers of 3 layer waterproof jackets around.

Customer Service

Have not needed it yet.

Red Ledge Thunderlight Jacket. (Absolutely no comparison between this and the Theta LT. The fact that it''s unlined means that when it rains, any bare skin is going to get very cold).

An AMAZING jacket. I got it the day before a huge rainstorm and was amazed at how well it worked. Water beads right off the surface. everything about it says quality. As soon as I put it on I knew it was the best. i was instantly impressed. What else do you expect from Canada? If you're dabating, don't this is THE jacket to get. You won't be sorry.

The jacket is so far ahead of anything I've tried. Ingenious tailoring around the shoulders, elbows and cuffs make you forget you've got it on. Water replellency is first-rate: slush and rain just bead and drain off jacket. Hood has great periperal vision and the brim is the first I've liked. The XCR breathes really well so it's rare that you get wet from the inside out. Again, you forget you've got a shell on. The lightweight and packability were big points for me as it allows this jacket to be a great piece for hiking or skiing.

Customer Service

They're local for me so it was a no-brainer to go with this brand. Good from a support-the-home team and from a warrantee standpoint.

This product is awesome, just looking at its construction impressed me when looking for a new jacket to replace my old one, the way arcteryx cuts the tape and how it manufactures the zippers and accesories gives you a feeling that you are not buying money but rather a product that will last you many years, compared to many two layers including North Face 2 layers, 3-layer lasts 10 or more years under normal conditions(rain, snow, sking, hiking etc) it is a great jacket, as comfortable as a 3-layer goretex xcr can get(it is creaky wrinkle soounding every movement, if you want name brand waste your money on north face(you'll have to fork out cause it costs way too much for what you get), think of it you can say made in north america with arcteryx but northface which is made in China(low quality), Recommend this jacket for anyone wanting a great buy, backpacking(i backpack 4-5 times a year) sking sort of and biking sort of, pit zips are great, overall a great buy

Customer Service

no i don't but based on what i hear all you have to do is take it to anybody that sells it and they will ship it to the company which will repair or replace with a new model jacket.

The first time I saw this jacket, the first thing I noticed was the cuffs... they have elastic and an odd black plasticky band with velcro underneath that has a perfectly matched, countoured piece of opposing velcro on the cuff. That's tailoring! The arms have extra re-inforced heavy-duty nylon that is perfectly shaped around the elbow so that when you bend your arm, you don't even notice. The shoulders are cut with an extra seam that the Beta LT, for instance, and many other jackets don't have-- the result: freedom of movement in a "it doesn't feel like a jacket-jacket." (The Kappa LT supposedly has the same cut, but waist length) In spite of the re-inforced fabric, the entire parka (better name) is noticeably lighter than, say, a Moonstone Momentum Tech, but noticeably heavier than a Marmot pac-lite or Arc'teryx's own Beta LT. The hood folds up inside the collar, giving you "that Bat-man thing" going, which you'll either love or hate. I have worn the parka once so far in wet-snowing-driving precipitation carrying a pack and I will say it was pretty awesome. I also liked the way the parka cinches around both the waste and the butt/hips. Breathability? Par for the course for "Classic 3-ply Goretex" Need to use the pit-zips, if you're perspiring. All the zippers are easy to manoever with one hand.... another nice-to-have. Goretex XCR would be a significant boost in the breathability of this jacket, and this is featured in the new Fall 2000 jackets, but I saved $$$ buying last-year's model. And those cuffs? They really seal!
