Mountain Hardwear Exposure Jacket Shell Jackets

Mountain Hardwear Exposure Jacket Shell Jackets

DESCRIPTION

Ultra-tech without appearing so, this Exposure has the styling of a jacket with all the technical astuteness of the Parka. 2.5 inches shorter and a bit lighter than the Parka, the Jacket is still backcountry worthy but with more crossover appeal for skiing and street. There's a powder skirt, and extra-long, elbow-to-waist, Simplex pit zips The Ergo hood moves with you for unimpaired vision. You need only one hand to operate our drawcords. The chin guard is fleece-lined, the sleeves are articulated for unrestricted movement, and cuffs are gusseted and elasticized. You can access the Napoleon pocket without opening the front zipper. A water bottle pocket accommodates a quart of your favorite beverage, and the inside security pocket zips closed.

This is the best jacket I have ever owned. It fits well, it's reinforced in the right places, the hood is functional, the pockets are in the right spots, etc. An great all-around value, even for the budget-conscious. I use it snowboarding, hiking, climbing, and riding my motorcycle. It's great for all applications.

Customer Service

I have never had to return or repair any mountain hardwear item for any reason, so I can't comment.

After being u student for some time finally I had the money to purchase a GYX jacket. I did a fullsize consumer review and decided to buy this jacket. First of all I really like the looks (get lots of compliments from strangers!). Further it's well suited and they have payed attention to all the details.

BUT, after wearing it regulary for half a year, backpacking two weekends and snowcamping and skiing one weak, I noticed that in the pitts the fabric was worn down. Where two seamseals cross (near the pittzips) it looked like a knive had cutt. I brought it back to the store and now I can get a new jacket.

Imaginable I'm not sure I've a want the same jacket again. One other thing I didn't like was the moisture the jacket gained in rain. It takes more then a day to dry. In the rain water from the sleeves soaks to the inside of the sleeve (not through the material), this oncomfortable on your hands.

This is one DELICIOUS jacket! I love everything about it. Pockets are huge and in the right places, and stuff doesn't fall out if you don't zip them. The canvas is tough as nails and it can be either watertight or breezy ventilation depending on what you want! The best part is that I got it for $100 at a ski swap!
