Great jacket. Heard about it in Mark Twight's Extreme Alpinism book. Looked into it, did some thinking, and dropped the loot on it. I love it. I have been out in pouring rain with it and didnt get wet at all. It dries fast too. Have been out in the White Mountains with it climbing and hiking in cold/windy/snowy weather and have not gotten cold. Did some ice climbing in it on a warmer (42 degree) day and stayed perfectly dry. Customer Service Never had to deal with Patagonia. Can't say. Similar Products Used: Columbia jackets - to big, to heavy , don't compress - BUT NICE JACKETS for around town usuage. |

What is there to say about the perfect jacket? I have had only two really good shells in my life time and this is the better of the two. I bought the Patagonia Infurno jacket for skiing out west. This is the consummate jacket for warmth and breathability. The fleece lining keeps you cozy and warm even at temperatures that hover near zero degrees. You don’t even need much of an under layer. Customer Service Wonderful customer service and speedy delivery Similar Products Used: Columbia Jacket and LLBean Sport Shell |

Great jacket! It keeps me extremly warm and dry with only a t-shirt or light shirt underneath (that's pretty good during winter in Chicago). The hood is excellent and I like the extra velcro strips that secure the zipper flap. I have not worn the jacket on a hike yet, so I can not comment on how it holds up in the field. However, during everyday wear in the city and around town, the Infurno jacket has been great. Customer Service Have not had to deal with Patagonia service yet. Similar Products Used: None |

very functional coat for cold weather mountain biking (and i bet for a lot of other stuff!). repels water and breaths very nicely. wear alone over a capilene shirt when it is 20 degrees, pull the hood up and ride ten miles. wear over street clothing around town and it works as well (i have worn it to work with minus 25 degree wind chill over a light shirt). the hood is especially well designed for warmth and good visibility. i removed some of the velcro on the front flap, as it was too much for my needs. the price i paid was the outlet price, so i think it was a very good deal, i like the fact that the shell is on the outside and the fleece is on the inside. i got tired of fleece outsides when the stuff works best under a shell, and with this it is all together, one piece i probably will never get the full potential out of it, but i will keep trying. they make an infurno hat (snow dome) and infurno pants if you really need cold protection. i have the hat, and it is great too!. Customer Service unbelievable customer service! really good! reasonable turn around time and re-cycled shipping packages. Similar Products Used: None |

Great jacket. Hood works well; doesn't impede vision. Can make long reaches without the jacket pulling up. Breathability is good. The DWR works well. Constructed with the typical Patagonia quality: well-sewn with no loose stitching. Patagonia changed the fleece in the sleeves to a lighter weight this year to increase arm mobility, but I have had no problems in that area with my older model. The jacket is cut fairly trim -- you cannot layer heavily underneath, but I do not see that as a drawback. Customer Service No personal experience with their customer service, but Patagonia has a very good word-of-mouth reputation for customer service satisfaction. Similar Products Used: Don't know of anything similar in the current market. You can find lots of shelled fleece jackets, but I know of no others with this same kind of technical cut that include a decent hood. |
