The Torre is my fourth G-tex parka and is by far the best. I've used it mountaineering in the Cascades and Alaska range and on many mountain rescue missions. Like all Patagonia products, it is well-designed and the fit is excellent. The hood is particularly well done. The workmanship is the best. Also characteristic of Patagonia, the Torre has no extra bells. It has no snow skirt or sleeve altimeter pockets. I would note that this is a technical mountaineering garment. It is likely overkill for folks looking for a garment mostly for backpacking or skiing. Customer Service I have several Patagonia products. The only problem I have is that they never wear out so I can't convince my wife to let me buy new stuff. |

I wore this jacket and accompanying pants to the base camp of K-2 in 1996. The jacket had another name then, but it's basically the same gear.I've also worn it for an extended trip in Nepal. It is rugged, waterproof, breatheable, and reliable. Customer Service Anything that doesn't work well, return it ,and Patagonia will replace it or give you your money back. I have done this a number of times. |
