I bought these pants for half price, and then took them on a NOLS course to the Wind River Range in Wyoming. They have some excellent features, such as full length side zips, crampon protection patches on the insides of the legs, and a burly triplepoint ceramic waterproofing. The waist cinches/detracts using an elastic cord system. The excess elastic cord bunches up on the sides of the pant at the waist, just where a waistbelt on a back goes. I found this to be *extremely* painful as the waist belt of my 70lb pack dug into this bundle of cord and smeared it into my sides. It was so bad that after physically removing plenty of the excess cord, I finally had to hike with the upper sides of my pants unzipped. Besides this large downfall in my opinion, the pant is a true mountaineering pant and can be trusted in all conditions. My next pant shell will not have anything anoying on the waist!

Customer Service

One of the side zippers broke, and I have yet to send it in for repair.
