THe Membraine inner coating is the most breathable I've tried. They actually breathe better when you warm up like Marmot says! The full side zips and very handy and the unit is very light weight. They are warm but not too warm after you get moving. I've used these mostly in snowy conditions and some rainstorms and am very happy especially since I got them on sale for less that half price. Warning..I slid down a snow slope on Mt. Massive and a rock ripped a 2 inch tear on a in the seat of these pants, went to get a Goretex patch kit and it worked great intil the edges of the patch started fraying and then the fabric seperated from the sticky goretex still stuck to the pants and left a nice white patch on by black pants with the tear open and visible. Pants are great but don't use the patch kit on abrasion areas.

These pants are a good deal. They're all around usability makes them ideal for trips to the mountains. Using them with snowshoes, skis, snowboard, snowmobiling, or sledding makes no difference. They are a great layer of protection all around. The breathability is a nice feature on these pants. It used to be that you could dress in layers only if it was your shirt or jacket. These pants breathe so well that you only need a thin breathable layer beneath to be truly comfortable.

I purchased this product to use for riding a motorcycle in the rain. I've been extremely pleased with the comfort and usage of these pants. I have started wearing them for cold weather gear also. They are quick to put on and protect me well from the elements. If they can protect me from cold and wet on the motorcycle in the winters of TN, they will provide plenty of protection for most other uses such hiking etc.

Customer Service

Marmot quality is great. Their products bear up to constant usage.
