Good pants, seemed to be well made. I liked the cargo pocket on the thigh. I think companies should offer more pocket options on shell pants. At any rate the only thing I did like about the pants is that they were not quite as supple as I had hoped. Lightweight, yes, Durable, sure, but when you walked they sounded like a cross between newspaper and a potato chip bag. I don't know about you but that would bug me after a while. If you dont mind the noise they are great pants. I ended up returning them, but I am considering other moonstone pants with maybe a softer material.

Great pants. Period. They're durable, waterproof, and breathable. What else can you ask for? Find 'em on sale.

I should preface this by saying that a. I am reviewing the momentum bibs (which I am not sure Moonstone makes any more) and
b. I think these are designed mainly for skiing and I bought them for ice climbing and general mountaineering.
Moonstone makes their stuff for tall skinny guys, and I'm built like a fire hydrant. So out out of the box, I had fit issues with these. I like the internal gaiters, but I always use external gaiters so it was sort of irrelevant to me. I wish they had reinforcements on the knees and seat, and I put a crampon point right through one of the legs (although the rip hasn't expanded yet).
If you're 6' and are going skiing - buy 'em. If you're headed towards the mountains, look elsewhere.

Customer Service

Moonstone does not have a web site up - which blows my mind. I found it difficult to get in touch with them and get answers to my questions about the product.

These are tough, waterproof, easy-on/off shell pants. Their elastic waistband begs for the help of suspenders. They are extremely wear resistant in the knees and other high-wear areas. I've glissaded over many rocks and not a tear is to be seen. The internal gaiters work awesome and have loops to attach crampon straps. Buy 'em at a sale.
