They work for me. Just bought these the other day and used them today for the first time while tropical storm Isadore dumped over 4" of rain on me over a 6 hour period while at work. Not a drop of water on my jeans below. Can't say the same for my North Face Mt. Light jacket which got mt t-shirt wet. Gore tex is not all it's cracked up to be. It's way overpriced. However,I didn't choose to sit on my ass for three hours at a game in the rain. I used mine for active work and stayed dry. And since they were on clearance for $64, what a deal.

Not waterproof. Sat at a Seahawks (froze my butt off so I''m pretty sure it wasn''t sweat/condensation, either) and the butt and knees of the pants underneath it were completely soaked. They are nice and light, easy to get on, and probably water-resistant through most conditions. But they couldn''t hold up to three hours in husky stadium in a torrential downpour. I''m taking mine back and buying some gore-tex.
