I have lost 100# over a two year period. I now weight 259 6'6".I used to use new balance 992's but the last pair was too big for me and I got a blister. I bought a pair of new balance 575's. They fit better and I used a pair in my first marathon. I am a walker and I walked Philly 2007 in less then 6 hours. I was having hip pain and I finally realized that my left foot was not hitting the ground correctly. The resulting stress was being transmitted to my hip. I found out about brooks beasts on the net and I got a pair. They work very well and my hip pain is gone

My wife got me into running about 6 months ago. I tried numerous shoes, asics, saucony, etc but none of them felt right not to mention my shins and knees would be killing me after even a short run, ie..5k. I needed a better shoe, expecially since Im 6'0 and 205. Went to Falls road running store, they fitted and recommended I go with the Brooks Beast. They were right. The shoes are excellent and feel great. I no longer have any pains in my shins, knees or elsewhere for that matter. Im on my second pair, again purchased from Falls Road, this time at the 07 Underarmor Marathon Expo at Ravens stadium. Bought them the day before, didnt have to break them in at all. Worked perfectly. Again no pains. I definetly recommend them to larged runners like me. Also, flat footed runners like me..My feet are so flat Im practically standing on my ankles:). Definelty a Excellent shoe. Also, if you are new to running, I recommend Falls Road Running store, the staff are great, extremely knowledgeable and know what they are talking about when it comes to running...

Training for Baltimore Marathon, weighing in at 250pds, ht. 5'8" and this are the best motion control I've worn. Great stability/motion control combined with excellent cushioning & durability. Have run 20 miles in one outing(again training for Marathon!). No knee pain! No knee pain! Prefer this slightly over the Adidas Calibrate, which is a semi-curved last.

Customer Service

Jeff, who owns Feet First in Columbia, MD knows more about feet than alot of so called foot docter with respect to runners!

Great Shoe. I average over thrity miles a week and without injuries. This is a straight last shoe and has lots of motion control. Highly recommend it to those who need a straight last shoe.
