I bought the shoes for the sturdy construction of the sole and also for the wraptor system. I must say they are definitly worth the money. kodiak Island terrain is unforgiving and I have had no problems with the Quest. My next pair of shoes with the same sole will be the North Rim Mid.

I bought these shoes thinking they would be average trail runners. They turned out to be bullet-proof scramblers. If you run in rocky conditions, then these are for you. The Quests do not flex much and have a mid-height ankle. The lugs on the soles are very large and have great traction. The top of the shoe is only vented in two places which makes it more water resistant. Overall, these shoes make great rock scramblers.

Good solid shoe with excelent
grip in wet terrain.
The strap system holds my tows
(spelling ok? prop not..) from
the front of the shoe while descending.. Nice !!
I use it as my everyday shoe and as
the extra shoe on longer trips..
