Brought the older Gortex version of Ultra 100. Great shoe for larger runner such as myself. Very stable, great traction and very water proof! I can only imagine what the new version would be like!

Just purchased the TNF Ultra 102 trail shoe. Great shoe, in fact other than the Montrail Vitesse which were not as cushioned, this shoe handle the rocky trails for a big runner(235pds) without a problem! Very cushiony, stable, and lots of traction! Only weak spot, shoe could have a more protective nylon plate under the forefoot section(like Montrail does) for stones, etc.

Couldn't be more happy with them. They're very aggressive shoes which is sweet, I can really dig in and trust them. I usually steer clear of TNF products because overall I think their quality stinks but as far as the shoes go they are the best. I had a pair of sawtooths and wore them out and lost them. Then I bought the ultra's and wore them for a while. When the sole started to de-lam I sent them in to north face and they replaced them no questions asked! SWEET! Then I was an idiot and passed out on a beach in spain and they got stoled. shoot. Now I buying a new pair.

Customer Service

Excellent! (see above)

These shoes are the best. After a bad ankle sprain, I was desperate to find a stable shoe. The anti-rolling design is awesome. I've never felt more stable. They grip in all conditions while not holding onto mud and rocks like other shoes. Not much cushion leaving the possibility of rock bruising. However, I've never had a real problem. You definitely don't want to spend time on the roads with these. Overall, the best trail shoe for me.

This product has been phenominal; the perfect trail runner. I think I have a pretty average foot and it fits like a custom orthepedic. Has handled moderate backpacking loads (obviously would not recommend it for this activity on very rough terrain). Have used them for everything and have taken the wear very well. Initially worried about the laterally protruding lugs, but they have held out. Great lacing system, tight yet distributed. Not much to complain about. Trendy north face, but exceptional product.

Customer Service

never used north face cust.serv.

although this shoe is not for me, it is a great one. the heel cup is simply not deep enough. i have run about a hundred miles in them and have decided to go back to the sawtooth's. the shoe is wonderfully supportive and has tremdous bite. i thrashed these shoes. they will now be my chill shoes. maybe my day hikers or scramblers. as with my other north face shoes, they are holding up extremely well.

Customer Service

luckily, i haven't had to deal with thier customer service.

These are the best damn shoes I've ever owned! I am an extreme adventure producer and cameraman. In the last year I have worn these shoes in the jungles of Borneo, Australian Outback, mangrove swamps, sand, ocean, etc. They have performed more comfortable, drier, more breathable, more rugged and durable than I could have dreamt a shoe or boot could perform! The first thing I did on returning from 9 months on expeditions was to buy a second pair and 2 "more" sets of the scree gaitors which should never be removed from the shoes. The only problem I found witheither of these products is the "snaps" on the scree gaitors break UNACCEPTABLY easily but I simply permanently fixed them to the shoes on the sides and unvelcro the back and roll them forward to take on and off. They are worth the hopefully temporary defect.

Customer Service

TNF promptly replaced my broken scree gaitors and hopefully will upgrade them in the future
