(Note: I own the programmable model.)
Excellent product, and I've received superior service from the retailer I bought it from (Super Store in Memphis, where I used to live.) In fact, the shop came out to my house to evaluate and fix an odd pinging noise coming from the motor area, and later gave me free deck lubricant when it was due for maintenance. Great service!

I compared the True with models from Life Fitness, Trotter and a number of low-priced machines at department stores. In terms of quality, reported durability, smoothness, deck width, noise, and features like built-in and custom programs, the True offered the best value.

I've had it for two years now and it's still running smoothly and quietly. It's great for joggers and perfectly adequate for most runners, but if I were a marathoner I'd probably spend a little more and buy the next model up -- it has a wider and (I think) slightly longer deck.

Customer Service

Exceptional service from Super Store in Memphis.

For an avid runner, the True 450 HRC is an excellent machine - very quiet, great programs, great reliability. The deck is absorbing, but firm. At $2400 it offers a great deal versus other manufacturers. I would rate this a 4 on value, but a 2 on overall value because of the lousy customer support. Both the customer service at Gym Source and at True is beyond abysmal. I need to purchase a part for the treadmill, and for the past four weeks have been unable to get any service from either Gym Source or True. Being disgusted with this service, I would look to purchase a Landice or LifeFitness - equal quality, hopefully better service.

Horrible - see my review
