Rossignol Axial 120 T-Plate S - Pair Bindings

Rossignol Axial 120 T-Plate S - Pair Bindings

DESCRIPTION

These are made for advanced skiers looking for efficient transfer of energy from the boot to the ski with optimized performance and safety.. Reduced mounting zone allows the ski to flex naturally for a natural flex and increased contact with the snow. Seven points of contact between the boot and the binding offer precise turn initiation and powerful edge grip. Axitex system toe piece reduces friction in most falls and enhances boot release. Axial heel piece pivots under the tibial axis and helps guide the boot during exit from the system. Elastic travel provides vibration- and shock-absorption.

These bindings are solid. They hold you in and the elasticity is high and keeps you in. They allow the ski to flex and are light.

Strength:

Released every time on demand with exception of MCL tear. Turntable heal works well. Look cool

Weakness:

Strong toe release can cause the "wings" to become stuck in the baseplate, requiring a stomping to ski again. The rear binding is mostly plastic, and is quickly damaged if poles are used to release bindings.

I expierenced a torn MCL with this binding, though I am not sure any other would have released. There are better binding systems made IMO, I got a pkg. deal. I would not recommend. This binding is a mutt from companies Rossignol acquired and are difficult to find service/ mounting in my own area. Salomon 912.....
