Dynastar Autodrive Speed SX All Mountain

Dynastar Autodrive Speed SX All Mountain

DESCRIPTION

Built for advanced skiers who spend most of their time on hard-packed and groomed trails, these offer high-speed stability and great maneuverability.. Autodrive technology provides power steering while entering the turn, power carving during the turn and acceleration coming out of the turn. V-hull tip helps control the twisting effects and provides stability in difficult snow. An elastomer layer beneath the plaque allows the ski to flex naturally, ensuring complete contact with the snow during turns. Tapered tail creates fluidity when exiting a turn.

I would agree with everything was sad before. It is stiff ski which I like. It shows great stability on high speed. which I didn't expect from 186cm ski. My previos stiff K2 198cm shows less control. In LakePlacid I just wanted more and more speed: so stable it was. Slalom on the them is easy, ski holds great in a sharp turns and good on ice too. Becouse of the curve design I even felt they make skiing too easy for me. Note: didn't see them in any perfomance rent place to try. I am 190/6ft.

I love ''em! If you like slalom turns, moguls, crud, ice, and super-G turns, these are the skis for you. They are the best expert all-mountain skis I have tried. They don''t hold their own in the powder against other wider-waisted skis though. Also, I noticed that some other skis are a bit more stable at higher speed, but not quite as versatile. This ski is great if you want to get aggressive, but when you''re tired at the end of the day you can cruise and they don''t kick you in the ass! I am a small women (HT: 5''4", WT: 115 lbs.), but, I have talked to other men and they like these skis too!.

Excellent carving skis on groomed runs; takes bumps quite well, although the skis are a little on the stiff side. Easy to manuver in deep powder. Comparable to Salomon X-Screams in performance for less money.

First set of parabolics I bought, and the results are impressive. I ski in the east, so you know the conditions I''m in. These skis can carve it up nicely, and they really hold their own on ice. My buddy kept telling me that it was too icy, and I would ask "ice? where?". They ski like a pair of siamese twins - seems like they rarely want to part ways - it has great grip on the slope. I don''t know if its effortless to move them, but I am impressed by the amount of control you have with them. Good ski - I advise getting getting the ski in the taller version.

Ever try a pair of skis and after the frist turn you knew these were for you? That''s what happened with these skiis. Being from the East, the bulk of my skiing is on hardpack. These skis carve effortlessly. Just point your knee in the direction of the turn and they just start turning. Put more pressure on the edges and they hold a steady, consistant line throughout the turn and will pop right into the next turn at will. They are very stable at speed and are very forgiving as well. I don''t know how Dynastar did it, but this ski could be used by a wide range of abilities intermediate to advanced, and everyone would be happy. The wide tip and tail seem to work well on crud and powder (at least shallow powder, which I experienced at Vail). Overall, this is a hard ski to beat, expecially if one likes groomers. PS please excuse the "experience" field in this review. The site has not been set up correctly. I am an advanced skier.
