Rossignol Bandit X L All Mountain

Rossignol Bandit X L All Mountain

DESCRIPTION

Excelling on both groomed trails and in the crud, Bandit X L has all the traits of Bandit X, but is designed specifically for women.. Integral Dualtec combines cap and laminate structures to create responsive energy transmission and increase edge grip under your feet. Developed to build skier confidence, Freeride VAS technology uses a visco-elastic material to absorb vibrations at high speeds and in variable terrain. Unique V-Flex shape and tapered aluminum top sheet allows the torsional flex of the ski to vary from tip to tail, for all-mountain versatility.

Skier

I love these spritely things! A large sweet spot - you don''t have to find it, it finds you. No waiting to find your groove either, other than the time it takes to put the skis on and ride the lift up. I usually ski these out west or when there''s a coat of new powder on my eastern slopes, but they ski just fine on predominantly icy and hard pack conditions too. A more timid female skier might not be happy with these (perhaps would like the more anchored and subdued feeling of K2:T-Nine X?), but if you like to slice down the mountain with gusto and have absolute stability while doing so, go for the Bandits!

Customer Service

Altrec actually sent me a hand-written note wishing me good times on my new skis. I was impressed with the personal touch!

K2 T:Nine X (similar mid-fat with entirely different personality), Rossi T-Power Viper X (not similar, skinnier and best for hardpack and ice, IMO)
