Giro Ravine Helmets

Giro Ravine Helmets

DESCRIPTION

Our Premier downhill helmet just got cooler*. We left our athletes and designers alone with some Dremelâ„¢ tools and this is what happened-BIG vents and hogged out air channels for extra cooling power. As with the original Ravine, our Thermostatâ„¢ Vent Technology provides personal temperature control via vents that glide open or closed with the touch of a button. The Ravineâ„¢ SC is just the helmet for spring skiing, those sweaty hikes out of bounds or if you've just got a hot head. Still comes with all the goodies: polar fleece lining, a padded chinstrap, deep goggle notch and Giro's trademark fit.

Functionally great. I know a helmet is meant to be bashed around and cosmetics comes a distant second place to safety, but the finish on mine is a disaster. I can flick it with my finger nail and the laquer blisters. Looked like I poured acid on it after 5 minutes. Should not do this for the money I paid.
