Dynafit Tourlite 4S Tech Older Randonee Boots

Dynafit Tourlite 4S Tech Older Randonee Boots

DESCRIPTION

The radically stiff upper cuff and tongue work in conjunction with a power strap for maximum stability. A rigid sole on the boot for skiing or mountaineering has enough rocker to facilitate walking. There's a walk/ski mechanism for additional walking or touring articulation.

I have now used these boots much more (see previous review) - and I love them more and more! They are way more comfortable than Scarpa Tamboos and their downhill performance is no problem. I am not saying they have alpine-race boot performance - see old review - but these boots are just perfect allrounders in the mountian. They are great for walking, all kinds of skiing (except long xc style) and ice-climbing. After trips to the mountain I have been more comfortable than my friends in Scarpas. I give them full rating for all-round performance.

I am reviewing Dynafit 4 not 4s. I have found these boots to be great for walking and ascending. They are light and comfortable.

They are a little bit too soft for descending - the problem might be that I am used to alpine racing boots.

The things I miss in these shoes are:
- a more agressive forward lean
- a stiffer back (might be better on the 4s)

I use these boots with Yöstmark Classic Noodle skis.
