Scarpa T-Race Older Telemark Boots

Scarpa T-Race Older Telemark Boots

DESCRIPTION

New asymmetric bellows flex consistently and comfortably. Ingenious torsion beam technology removes any doubt about torsional rigidity by cradling the heel in a positive lean that's virtually impossible to twist. The new overlap closure system, borrowed from alpine boots, allows for internal volume adjustment.

Skier

Top of the line product for in-bounds skiing. I didn't notice any additional weight from the T-1, and the boot is higher and stiffer, and much easier to direct changes to my skis. Since this boot really sticks out on the steep stuff, I'd recommend getting whatever orthotics/adjustments your foot needs for a perfect fit, so that there's no play in heel (normally a problem for me). The power strap is a big plus. The only drawback is the price (especially when you factor in the customising); I was lucky enough to find a pair on a weekly internet special from Mountain Gear. I have not seen these discounted many places.

Customer Service

I haven't used it for the T-Race, but for hiking boots it's excellent.
