Atomic Beta Carv TM26 Older Telemark Skis

Atomic Beta Carv TM26 Older Telemark Skis

DESCRIPTION

A moderately stiff overall flex, the torsional rigidity of the Beta design, and a slightly soft tip combine to make the TM 26 a fun, forgiving ski in softer conditions, and an adequate performer in firmer ones.

I''ve skied on these skis 3 seasons and I am still in love with them. They ski the crud well and float thru the powder. The only problem I have had with them was in wet cement where they tended to submarine no matter how far back I got. I usedt hem mostly on the lifts but they have worked equally as well in the backcountry. The extra weight is well worth the control on the descent. they are certainly lighter than randonees

These are the best of the countless skis that I have tried. I never imagined I would find such a versatile and pleasant ski. They ski powder well (there may be better but that's really gilding the lily)and they ski hard snow well (no chatter with strong enough boots). In particular they help one to ski any version of crud, junk, or even, breakable, imaginable. The ski wants to turn in a controllable moderate radius no matter what the snow, and that makes it easy on the pilot.

I have been skiing on these beauties for 4 seasons and I love them. They handle just about any type of conditions you throw at them. They are quick turning and extreemly fast. I have riva bindings with the lifts and use merrel ultra (2 buckles) leather boots. I use them mostly at resorts (because I don't want to wreak them) but I have been in the backcountry on powder days!!!!!! My only complaint is that they are a bit heavy for lugging into the backcountry and the tip flex could be tweeked just a bit for better powder float.
