These are great snowshoes. I have tried others by Tubbs, but these are obviously the top of the line.
With an aggressive toe-cleat and reinforced decking, you can go anywhere with these babies.

I retro fitted a pair of Sierras to Mtn 30's by installing the new binding system. It really positions the foot, keeps it firmly in place, and makes putting on and taking off very easy. Stability going uphill, downhill or sidehill is excellent. The only downside is that beracuse of the binding style the shoes can't be easily nested for attaching to a pack.

Customer Service

My old bindings broke and Tubbs replaced them free of charge and was flexible enough to work out a deal on an upgrade at the same time. My dealer (Rock and Snow in New Paltz, NY)handled everyting.

My Mtn 30's I bought last winter. I've taken them numorous places and have very few times actually slipped. They work great just about where ever you want to go because of the nice grippers on the bottom. Although what was bad... My dad actually takes them out more than I do.

Customer Service

Great company. I actually worked for a dealer for a while, and we've found the customer service is great.

I think these snowshoes are great! The bindings keep your foot in line with the shoe and the swivel binding allows an easier walk. I have used them on many mountains where it is too deep to use crampons.

I used a pair of snow shoes the other day that were not the tubbs MTN 30 and swore then and there to neaver do that again! The lightweight, sturdy construction, streamline shape and the wounderful binding make the choice clear. Tubbs MTN series has easily the best binding system no the market. Functional when caked in ice and while wearing mitts. Also the taper of the tails allow free range of movement and tight cornering without tripping over your own "feet". I have found no problem with lashing them to my pack when crampons become more appropriate, light and compact they are a pleasure to travel with on your feet or on your back!
