I've got the 09/10 bindings and they're awesome-perfect for the park because of their responsiveness however they are still good for freeriding. It's true that they are a bit plastic but that just means they're light which is all cool! Sweet bindings for an Awesome price!

Ok so i Have seen many differant reviews for these bindings and i am gonna answer some question, First if you had crap plastics that froze up on you, you had the 2005 customs, Burton has repeatedly apolagized for these, they are meant for warmer spring riding, I have gotten the 2006 which include metal ratchet and release with an anti stick strip, they are extreamly light and strong, are backed by a life time parts and liability waranty, these bindings work especially well with the shawn white series of burton. - Shred 4 life

Customer Service

Lifetime parts and liability waranty, easy in and out mitt access

Burton c14 is a similar more expensive model, of course a little better but in the long run the burton customs are definetly a better choice

Strength:

Big burly straps that are soft but give you the support that you need where you need it most! they look good to no cheap parts used year after year like most other companys! (drake)

Weakness:

haveing to replace worn straps but thats what you got to do to find this kind of preformance!

What can I say burton has done it again! Another top of the line binding that no one else can touch!

Strength:

The color scheme matched my board perfectly, Burton will mail you spare male straps free of charge, overall tough bindings

Weakness:

Every once and a while after a long day of riding, the top of my foot will start to ache and so I have to loosen both bindings before getting on the lift. It could have very well been a boot issue. Since I tighten my bindings really tight, the straps and the ratchet start to give way and after a while slip, however, replacing the ratchets which cost no more than 10 bucks and replacing the straps which you can get for a couple dollars will do the trick

Having read a number of the reviews about the Burton custom, I have come to the conclusion that you need to make sure you ride with a Bakoda tool to keep those straps on tight. I tell you, I have not had a problem with straps breaking off. However, I have had a couple of straps snap on me and now that I think of it, the first time I rode the bindings, one of the ratchets for the female straps broke. Since that day, I have never had a problem with the bindings, in fact, once you have made all the adjustments for your bindings to better fit your bot boot, the boot/binding fit like a glove. What i recommend you do is put your boot in the binding and then push the support in the back against your boot so that it's nice and snug and then tighten em up. It'll work wonders....

NONE at all do not buy these!!!

Weakness:

PLASTIC!!! THEY FALL OFF!!! UNSTABLE!!! AND CHEAP!!!

03' customs I got these bindings at a Chicks outlet store. The guy working there was telling me that the Customs are by far the best binding. Two weeks later I went to Kirkwood and the whole time I thought that my boot would fall out of my binding. Bottom line these bindings suck, a couple days after I went back to chick's and got Drake Matrix's and I love them.

burton has been in the business scince before snowboarding started, so dont say they dont know what there doing, because you dont know what you are doing

Weakness:

when b**ch A$$ boarders get a holed of them, and then complain about the bindings because they suck

aight, cant speak for 01/02 model, but i have the 02/03 and there sick, thats bs to u boarders who say ur straps fall off, thats because ur a dumb a$$, tighten the bolts b4 u go riding, the shop u got it at may not have screwed them on tight enough, i ride them on a 01/02 burton custom with burton 02/03 boots, i love it, if u get a board that fits your size, bindings that fit your board and boots that fit your feet and bindings, then your set, uncomparable quality,

Strength:

It's not the worst binding I've ever ridden on, but those were rentals. And they do keep my feet on the board.

Weakness:

Besides all of the breaking, they don't hold my feet tight and they're wicked uncomfortable. A lot of vibration comes through to your feet.

I got these at the beginning of last season for cheap because they were leftovers from '01-'02. The reason I found this site is because I'm already looking for new bindings. The Customs huff d*ng. The first time I took them out, the toe strap fell off on the way back to my car at the end of the day. A couple days later the lean adjustment clip cracked in half. I'm not pleased with the performance either. Overall, Burton s*cks. They make cheap products, but people keep buying them because of their name. If you're gonna spend money on some bindings, you might as well buy some that are worth the money.
