Bought these end of '03 after reading reviews here. Same pro team series as Marc Frank Montoya & Ali Goulet. Was $270 CAN marked down to $99 CAN because stockist didn't want to sell Technine any more, too many probs with them. I found them to to be very good in terms of solid hold and support. High backs were comfortable and after adjusting pitch could carve very tight turns. Definatey feel solid like a pro binding. Tried using rental bindings (Link brand) while these where in repairs. After riding for 1/2 a day decided to stop riding until my Technine bindings where back as rental bindings felt like soft, sloppy, crap and I had absolutly no edge to edge control when compared to my Technines. Adjusting pitch on rental jobs didn't give greater edge to edge control just made them uncomfortable as hell. My Technines had some major problems that need mentioning... After my first day riding I found them starting to ware holes in my brand new Salomon boots!! It is a desgin floor. It's the philips head (+) bolts holding the ankle straps that are inside the blinding that rubs. I replaced with smooth allen key type bolts and removed the centre bolts as they are just for the excess plastic flashing. Some extra nuts and you can through the crappy plastic flashing away. There were jamming issues with the straps. That's why the seller didn't want to sell them any more. I rang Technine and they sent new straps free. I payed extra and bought the Baltimore (toe cup) toe straps also as I found regular toe straps pinch a little. The nuts on the straps are usless. Tighten up every day and always going loose, I eventually had a strap fall off mid run. I had to replace all nuts for the straps with thick skate board lock nuts. I also had to get longer mounting plate bolts as the standard ones didn't screw in at all. Maybe my NeverSummer board is at fault here as it is thick. In short, I liked the feel, control, comfort and definatley price of these bindings. It's just a pitty I had to replace so many parts to get a workable binding. Heres a rundown of what I replaced: 2 ankle straps (ratchet section) 2 ankle straps (teethed ladder section) 2 toe straps (ratchet section) 2 toe straps (teethed ladder section) 4 bolts (for ankle straps) 8 nuts (for ankle and toe straps 8 bolts (for mounting plates)

technine pro team 1 2005 bindings are amazing. excellent response, excellent comfort, excellent warranty... tightening some bolts and nuts here and then is a small price to pay for this kind of performance for this price.

    Customer Service
