This is the best step-in binding I have used; and I have pretty much tried them all. I hired them for a week''s boarding in Austria in advance of buying the new Switch Clutch boots. They are fully adjustable, very easy to get into (before you even get out of the chairlift once you get the hang of them) and the high-backs have a separate mechanism which holds you in the correct position. But the best thing about them is how firmly they hold your boot, which I contend is as good as a conventional binding. Although I don''t ride at a very high level, I think they would be more than enough for most freeriders. The disadvantage is that for the large-footed, the lack of toe-ramps on the regular can be a disadvantage - you are forced to go for the Special X (?).
