Northwave Legend Conventional

Northwave Legend Conventional

DESCRIPTION

One of Northwave's most comfortable, yet highly technical boots in the line. Built to feel like your favorite skate shoe, but made for the mountain.

Strength:

Look nice. Comfortable. Have a solid reputation.

Weakness:

Not as stiff as they say they are. Weak, fiddly, unsupportive inner lining.

I got these Legend G4's in December 2002 and have used them in total for 7 days. Personally I don't rate them at all. The inner lining was fiddly and felt like it would break at any point (though it didn't). It needed constant adjustment to keep tight (and the boots are the correct size). I don't think they're even that stiff, though only the Kevin Jones is stiffer. My heels kept lifting during nose-turns, and I had heel grips in as well. Overall I'm real disappointed with these boots, having spent (what I thought) a lot of time researching what was best for my ability/ requirements.

Awesome boots! Warm, comfortable, no heel lift -- these are stiff boots, but if you're an aggressive rider you'll love the way these ride. No complaints whatsoever.

Strength:

SOOO SOFT AND CUSHY!! Yet very stiff and don't let you ankles or heels move at all!

Weakness:

Only if you suck then these are prob to stiff for you.

DUDE!! I just got the 02-03 Northwave Legend g4! A little different than the legend but pretty close! I got them today when I tried them on they hurt my feet and I guess that is good! I trusted the store clerk and bought them smaller than I felt was right. So I got home and put them on again trying to decide wether to keep them or not. I walked around put on my snowboard inside jumped flex my legs like I was riding, etc. After 30 mins I was all huffin and puffin but the boots felt perfect! They had modeled to my feet it was awsome! They are so light they really do feel like my skate shoes! I was tempted to walk to work in them but didn't! Bottomline! Buy these boots NOW!

the inner lace locky thingy... it wont tighten any more... sadd soo sad

ive read all the reviews out on this boot to date and ive found that they are totaly great and comfortable but my feet are constantly getting wet i dont know if its because of the Burton synthetic matiral socks ive been wearing (not to point any fingers) but ive been riding every weekend since december up utill april and there still goin strong great product but the inner boots lace lock thing is all jacked up the boot is great untill that started happening but other than that that i could were them around my house like some gucci slippers or some junk.

Strength:

Support and durability. I racked up about 50 snow days in these puppies and they still look and feel new! No heel lifts for my narrow feet.

Weakness:

Inner boot lace. It failed to stay cinched so I got a regular shoe lace in place.

This boot came out last year but this review did not have an entry for it. This year''s boot is the same anyway so here goes.... I love these boots! Very good support. Make sure you get a replacement lace for your inner boots if the locking lace fails. Very comfortable. My feet have been toasty with these boots except for that one time I laced it too tight which cut my blood circulation to my feet. Good traction when walking on ice or icy surface. Very light.

I bought this boots a couple of months ago. Last winter I used a Burton Driver and I had regulary pain in my legs. At the shop I tried some new Burton''''s a I felt the same pain after a few minutes. Then I tried these Northwaves and it is very big difference !! A Burton is much stiffer/harder and those Northwaves feel very comfortable almost like my Nike shoes. These boots rock !!
