Strength:

Locking lacing system, washable liners, achilles tendon holders

Weakness:

None that I have found so far.

The first thing I realized when I first tried these boots on in the shop, right after I noticed how efficiently they lace up, is how well they hold my foot. I have not yet taken them out but I love these boots so much already that I felt I should leave a review. These boots'' liners have ''lumps'' molded in the sides of the ankle. They nestle perfectly alongside your achilles tendon and make it impossible for your heel to lift! These boots are very light. They appear to be very high quality. I especially appreciate the fact that their liners can be tossed in the washing machine after every trip to the mountain so I never have to deal with stinky boots. The locking laces work just as well as advertised and the lace eyelets are molded plastic so the laces slide very smoothly. When I have them on, I can barely feel that they are there. There''s no pressure points at all. My foot doesn''t feel like it''s snug or wedged in but there''s no movement! They are a little stiff but I think they will work well with my setup.

Strength:

Although, I haven''t used them in the snow yet, but I''d have to agree with the numerous posts regarding the comfort of these boots (very nice). The lacing system is so convenient compared to the conventional ways of tieing boots. The lace locks alleviate any stress in losing the tension you want while tying the upper half of the boot. With the locks you can demo all types of setups: loose around the toes, tight above the ankles; tight around the toes; loose above the ankles... etc..

Weakness:

The plastic lace locks do appear cheap. The colors could be better but who cares as long as its comfortable; your pants should cover more than half your boot anyway.

I just started Snowboarding this season (01-02) but after a few trips to the mountains, I decided on buying my own equipment. The first thing on my list was boots. After reading about Northwaves and Salomons on this site, I decided to try them on. Since I have small heels, there was a large amount of heel lift from the Northwaves. The salesman suggested Salomon''s so I tried the Molomutes (too stiff), the Synapses (not too stiff), and then the Dialogues (perfect flex) The Salomons kept my heel snug in the boot minimizing lift. Some people may like the stiffness of the molomutes and Synapses but I didn''t. I got them %30 off retail so that''s why I only paid $153+tax

Strength:

Lace locking system on inner and outter boot.

I tried on a bunch of different boots at the store and nothing came close to the dialogues. No heel lift and a perfect fit. The locking system for the laces on the inside boot and outside or awesome. You don''t have to take your gloves in the cold to retighten them in the middle of the day. The boots are a little stiffer then I wanted, but are very resposive and break in a little after use.

These boots are great. When i first put them on i noticed how well my foot fit into them. I normally wear a size 10 shoe, but a 9.5 fit me perfectly. One thing about it was that i had to struggle a lot taking them off at the store since i had cotton socks. Once i put on my snowboard socks, the problem was easily solved. The insulation is great in the dialogues (except when my ankle binding is way too tight and i lose blood flow to my foot... but that''s not the boot''s fault). One thing you must notice is that the picture and price is incorrect on this page. This year''s boot is a black and orange and is slightly lighter and stiffer than the previous year''s (the red/brown or bluegreenish/gray color). The lacing system is great! 2 quick pulls and i''m off! One thing that''s a drag though is that since this boot''s a bit stiffer, it also needs some time to break in. I have to tighten it a couple times throughout the day because the boot seems to loose itself a bit (but it only takes 15 seconds to do both boots). Overall, i''d say this boot is great! Beats rental boots by far. The boot looks awesome too ;)... i love the color... matches my goggles and pants perfectly ;) (hrm... i also have a knack for orange.. so go figure)

Customer Service

Uh... ? customer service? huh? whoever designed this site really needs to get this text label checked out. I guess i can say that this boot''s a bit expensive.. but then again, these are my feet w

these boots are really nice, they are a mid flex which is great if u like to go from the park and rails, right into the powder, really comfortable when the liner conforms to your foot and they appear to be holding up really well. I really reccomend salomon boots, they offer the best combination of quality and performance on the market
