Mountain Hardwear Gore WindStopper Vest Fleece Tops

DESCRIPTION

The front zip is backed by a no-snag draft flap and zips up into a high, protective collar. Lycra-bound armholes and waistband are made of quick-drying polyester. Two zippered hand pockets provide refuge for chilly fingers, while inner security pockets (one inside, one outside) hold on-the-go essentials.

This is flat out the best windstopper vest I have used or owned. To this date I have tried two from REI, one from Marmot and now this one from Mtn Hardwear. The legnth and design are the cat's meow. One does not need two hands to open zippers to access the well-designed and accomodating pockets. Have used in blizzard conditions underneath a good Gore Tex shell with a power stretch fleece, in cool sunny weather in the 40's and during both in an early Spring squall in Utah--very versatile and dependable.

Customer Service

I like it more than the Windstopper jacket(s) offered by Mtn Hardwear but this is my bias. The legnth is more usable (not as long as the jackets) and the price is much more affordable. This and a cheaper power stretch fleece will over perform the windstopper jacket.
