Burton Triumph Freeride

Burton Triumph Freeride

DESCRIPTION

The Burton Triumph snowboard is next breed of progressive big-mountain battle-axes. The Triumph’s slightly tapered shape redefines the balance of float, speed and versatility that can be packed into one board. Built around a size 10.5 boot, this mid-width board offers stability at high speeds, while delivering the width needed to float over bottomless pow.

Strength:

The slight taper definitely helps stay up in the deep- only drawback is tricky switch landings. Look forward to seeing how it carves. Pro Oxnard Concrete

this thing is a monster. With the response of a Porsche and the stability of a cadillac I can take this baord anywhare on the mountain. It floats right over deep pow, holds an edge on steep and icey groomes and navigates trees with no problem. Not only does it felx for optimum carving but it allows me to crash through loose bumps without hesitation. this board is great for people who enjoy freeriding. I've had a blast on it and I highly recomend it.

i demo'd this board in march when it snowed 28 out of 31 days this year. wanted to try a different board and heard good things about the triumph for stability. it rode like a steam roller. mashed thru the chops and didn't pound the knees to hard. it's edge and grips were ok and the turning tolerable. a solid board but in the end... i felt like a tank and was stable like a tank.. but turned like a caboose. it was stale in response and overall enjoyment. i demo'd four boards and this was at the bottom of the list!

4:YeeHaa!
Only had one day in waist-deep at Alagna so impossible to review the edge holding, but seriously enjoyed the bouyancy and manoeverability. I got the 169", but it handles quicker than my old 166 Omen. The slight taper definitely helps stay up in the deep- only drawback is tricky switch landings.
Look forward to seeing how it carves...
