K2 Bike Scorpaznatica Freeride

K2 Bike Scorpaznatica Freeride

DESCRIPTION

"I love every thing about my snowboard. Now that people are getting used to the word Scorpaznatica, I've started calling it the Scorpangus instead." -- Travis Parker T.P. tested every K2 prototype and came up with the ultimate variation of the classic Zeppelin. From Whistler’s park to Baker’s cliffs to your own local jib zone, the Scorpaznatica a stinger. This directional board utilizes our new Hybritech sidewall construction, maximizing power transfer to the edges while shaving weight. The sidecut is average in depth so its less ‘hooky’ on takeoffs. The superlight wood core is flanked by internal torsion forks, carbon and kevlar (wrapped in triaxial fiberglass) and sits atop a Mach 4000 Sintered base, components that will take you farther, faster, higher and steeper.

Strength:

this is an amazing board that is playful and flexible at slow speeds and tight/responsive at high speed. Once you find the edges this thing carves up down all around in tiny circles. The more energy you put into this board the more energy it puts out. Joplin internal engine repair

Strength:

very strong and from what I have done to it, I think it is unbreakable. Very fast (compared to other boards I have had), and I have only seen one other person with the same board in my life (I hate being like everyone else).

Weakness:

the boards looks could have been a little better. The stupid little scorpion plastic bubble thing is kind of cheap looking and the bottom is a little bland but I still love it and would take another over any other board.

I have the 155 and I love it. I beat my snowboards and this one is still in the same condition as the day I got it. This board sticks to landings perfectly and has great pop. Slides like a dream on any rail and still has impressive speed in any kind of snow condition. I would recomend this board to anyone.... the people who just carve and even to the people who go big.

Strength:

Good overall ride and product construction. With it''s stiffness and edgehold, this is truly an allmountain freestyle board! 10 pack inserts for stance adjustability and versatility. Fast graphite base, even when you neglect waxing, no problems with base damage either. The girlies like the little silver scorpion under the plastic bumpon on the topsheet.

Weakness:

None yet!

I got this board (Scorp 155cm) for my day to day snowboard teaching, coaching and for riding around in the Midwest. It was the perfect choice! The board is amazingly stiff and has great edgehold for it''s short running length! Carves thin lines in hardpack like a champ, loves crossunders. Lots of snap for ollies and manuals! Nice solid feeling on jump landings. Good product construction no delams or base damage in the 50+ times I''ve rode it this year.Scorpion graphics are nice, not butt ugly like my 00/01 Zeppelin fleshless ghoul graphics. Nice fast base that''s noticeably faster than last year''s Zeppelin too. Good board in the park, light and easy to spin. Like I say above, my freestyle board from last year was the 156 Zeppelin. This is a nice performing board, but has a noticeably slower base(non graphite and a coarser stone grind)as well as the butt ugly graphics. The Scorp is quite and improvement on an already good board.

Strength:

I got it at a great price. This board can do everything.

Weakness:

So far none.

This board for me is a recent purchase, I used to ride a “Ride Profile 160” until it got stolen along with my K2 Plasma bindings. As upset as I was it could have been a blessing. I love my new K2 Scorpaznatica. Granted I have only been out on it a handful of times but this has to be one of the nicest boards that I have ridden. I’ve tried the “Lamar Andy Hetzel Scout Limited” (which how ever is a very nice board) the “Heelside First track” and some Oxygen board I can’t remember the name of but I would never go back to any of them. The Scorpaznatica has a very quiet sense of style to it but believe me it gets noticed. The performance of this board is phenomenal. When I bought this board I was looking for speed … I most definitely got it!!!
