Did a lot of research to find the right board, was really impressed with it, it was so fast, a great ride. Unfortunately it delaminated after one week's riding. No problem, it was under warranty so got a replacement. Rode the replacement for four one week holidays and guess what, serious delamination of the top sheet. I took it into a shop for repair whilst in Italy and they told me to throw it away. Got in touch with Nidecker but they weren't interested as it was out of warranty. Great ride but don't buy one if you want it to last more than a few weeks riding.

Delaminates after a few weeks

Nidecker Megalight XL - seemed like a great board, handled well loved the pow. But if you would like to ride it more than 10 times - buy something else. It became delaminated after about 10 days of riding. I did a search and saw someone else selling a couple on Gear Trade that also became delaminated. Must be a design flaw. Choose Wisely!!!

Fast, Strong, Lite, Carbon Fiber kicks ass! Did we say FAST?! Skiers will have a hard time keeping up. Responsive 167 performed like a short 157. Varying terrain no problem with this ride! Awesome Swiss product here!!

I bought a Megalight2 because last years model was the absolute testwinner in multiple tests. I took it out this weekend in the Alps and also tried my friends Burton Custom and BMC. Custom and especially BMC are really nice...but the Megalight in NICER. It is completely different. Where the BMC is very stiff and needs a lot of energy to ride fast, the Megalight is extremely easy to ride. Because it is not very stiff I was wondering how it behaves at high speed...it still is very stable and you can really ride it on the edge... I also ride a Factory Prime and like to ride freeride boards like a slalom board...on the edges, making vitelly turns. I was very happy with the carving performance of the Megalight (need feel to carve well, not power). In total this board is totally different than other boards...it''s got a surfing feeling and can be ridden very hard and fast. You will never regret buying this model

The Nidecker Megalight is a very fast board and extremely responsive. However, it is the stability at speed that really hits you when you ride it. Also, the off piste ability of the Megalight is just superb - the best I have ever experienced. This board is so much better than anything I''ve ever ridden before. It''s expensive but represents good value as it is such a quality item! If you are looking for a new board for freeriding, then you cannot go wrong if you buy a Megalight - I think that it is the best freeride board on the market. Strengths: Speed, Stability, Off-piste ability & Looks Weaknesses: I haven''t found any weaknesses yet.
