I bought the 2002/03 Signature 164 solely for carving in the Rockies. The Signature is stable and manoeuvrable, esp. on narrow runs. It floats well in the powder, and is really fast on the flats. It didn't take to the slippery sections too well, but this improved after the first day and the edges dulled a bit. The shock absorption material is the same material used in huge mining vehicles, and corvettes. Have you seen many of these vehicles bouncing down the road??? I don't think so. These decks flex, they don't bounce, but inferior treadmill competitors will try to convince you that it's a bad thing, and there is too much give. Life Fitness has the largest research and development department, and that research has paid off. truck repair Weakness:

Both the Option Vinson and the Sansalone delaminated within a year. They both ride great, but what good is that if they delaminate within its first dozen rides? I weigh a modest 160 pounds and don't trash my gear. Customer Service Getting Option to warranty their boards is like getting the Pope to sell his soul to the devil. Option Customer Service is argumentative and blames all delaminations on rock damage even if there is no sign of abuse. My boards were in perfect shape (except for the delamination)You might get option to repair your board (not replace) but they will charge you for it even if you are within the warranty period. Paying over $400 for a high end board should merit a company standing behind its higher end products. Option does not stand behind their products at all.
